The characters also help the plot and story a lot, as they can go against Big Nate, or they can help him, and off endless laughs! Another reason why I love this book is because it also happens to incorporate a little mystery here and there, and will also have you constantly giggling at every page. I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy books with lots and lots of humor!

Let me just start off by saying that this book is one of my favorite books of the Big Nate series. This book has an amazing plot, interesting characters, and lots and lots of humor! Another reason why I love this book is because it incorporates little illustrations, and helps us visualize the book so well! I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy humorous and witty books! The story begins with Nate Wright, and how he created a cartooning club known as the doodlers. The school they go to (PS 38), has a major rivalry with their sister school: Jefferson Middle.
6th grade Nate Wright’s life is in the dumps. A friend ruins his homework AND grade, he gets in trouble for bursting a beanbag in the library, and his big shot at making a name for his band is ruined after he freezes on stage in front of the entire school. Yikes. Life just couldn’t get worse, now, could it? Yet all his luck is turned around by a broken foot off an action figure. Next thing you know, Nate just can’t stop winning! One lucky thing after another, Nate is the hot shot of the entire school, even making Marcus, the cool 7th grader look just a little bit dorky.

This book is one that has stuck with me for a long time. Willow’s story and the hardship she faced was inspiring to read about, and the book has taught me a lot about never giving up.
Attack Of The Black Rectangles By Amy Sarig King (A.S. King) is about a boy named Mac, and his two friends who are all starting 6th grade together. At their school their teacher is named Ms. Sett. When they start reading in small groups Mac’s group gets a book on the Holocaust: “The Devil's Arithmetic”, they find large black rectangles covering certain words on the page. When Mac and his friends, Marci and Dennis discover this they go to the public library and search up the words that were censored.
My Life as a Meme is a great book. It is part of the My Life Series. It is about the main character, Derek who loves memes but soon realizes how it feels to be on the other side of it. Derek gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Derek learns that there are always two sides to things. I like this book because of the sudden plot twist, this makes it very exciting. Other readers might like this book because it is part of a series and the author does a good job on keeping the reader interested.
