The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon is about a brief encounter between Natasha, a Jamaican

immigrant trying to save her family from being deported, and Daniel, a Korean immigrant who is

forced into studying medicine by his parents. These two characters spend only about 24 hours

together, but the story narrating their adventures together is truly remarkable. This book is about

This book hit me right in the heart and made me shed some tears along the way. This book is

extremely well written and develops the friendship trio between the three main characters Dill,

Lydia, and Travis in the best way possible. It intertwines your emotions with each one of the

characters, and it portrays a very accurate picture of high schoolers navigating through their life

and preparing for what comes next after they graduate. It shows the journey of finding your

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a style of writing that I've never seen before.

Initially, I thought that the title giving away the ending would make it difficult to stay interested in

the plot. But, I was proven very wrong. This book takes you through a roller coaster of emotions

as it jumps through lots of action and adventure with the main characters. The whole time you're

A five-star rating doesn't even do this book justice. In the Wild Light by Jeff Zentner is easily one

of my all-time favorite novels because of the way his writing flows perfectly and creates such a

heartfelt story. I fell in love with the characters and I've held onto many quotes from the book as

well. This is such a moving and emotional book and I hope that it touches other peoples' hearts

the same way it did mine.

Colleen Hoover has created yet another heart-wrenching, plot-twisting, edge-of-your-seat novel

that I couldn't put down after the very first page. The relationship between Fallon and Ben, the

two main characters, is so complex and every chapter unravels something new and intriguing

about their unusual connection. I loved how this book was written because there was lots of

room for me as the reader to use my imagination for what could happen next. It is truly

Poems by Elizabeth Bishop is a culmination of some of her greatest works. The poems in this

book begin as an outward analysis of the world and move more internally, into the self, as the

book continues. Bishop is a poet who can display her meaning directly while also having a

deeper meaning that requires searching. She explores humanity and all of the effects that come

with it. With the themes, she talks about and her vivid descriptions her poems are an experience
