Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment is widely praised in literature for its deep exploration of despair and existential dread. The novel follows Rodion Raskolnikov, a former student living in St. Petersburg, who is utterly struck by poverty and existential torment. Early in the narrative, Raskolnikov murders with the belief he is acting for the greater good.

Summary: Nate has a problem, and his name is Breckenridge Puffington III. He’s a new kid at PS. 38, Nate’s school, and Principal Nichols is forcing Nate to be Breckenridge’s “buddy”. The only thing is, Breckenridge seems to be quite a nerd. He doesn’t like cartooning or sports like Nate, and instead enjoys FLOWERS. Yeah, you read that right. Flowers.

Closer to Nowhere is a very emotional and heart-warming story that shows family dynamics and relationships. This book follows the story of 2 cousins, Hannah, and Cal, who are forced to live together due to family problems. Even though at first they do not get along they must uncover family secrets and face difficulties together. In this novel, we see how the story of Hannah and Cal plays out. I enjoyed this story a lot because I loved how heart-touching and realistic this story is.

Let me just start off by saying that this book is one of my favorite books of the Big Nate series. This book has an amazing plot, interesting characters, and lots and lots of humor! Another reason why I love this book is because it incorporates little illustrations, and helps us visualize the book so well! I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy humorous and witty books! The story begins with Nate Wright, and how he created a cartooning club known as the doodlers. The school they go to (PS 38), has a major rivalry with their sister school: Jefferson Middle.
