demons, living alongside humans. As our story begins, Lei is taken from her home to

become one of the king’s concubines, a Paper Girl; girls from the lowest caste, fully

human. When Lei arrives at the palace, she discovers that she has no hope, not of

escaping, not of ever seeing her family again, and not of ever having a choice again.

My rating for this book is a 3 because the book only takes place in one setting for the

most part. This makes the book not at all compelling to me personally. It was hard to

focus reading the book as it was not very interesting.

Fantastic Beasts and the Secrets of Dumbledore was a complete letdown. It felt rushed and

messy as many of the characters weren’t even in the movie despite being in previous Fantastic

Beasts movies. Such as Nagini, who was supposed to be in love with Credence, was
